Yes, and I think Sid is better than both Leon and Auston.

  2. BillMcCrearysStache

Theyre all elite players who can take over a game on any given night, just blanket statement saying one guy is ‘better’ than the other is kind of impossible

  3. Rupdy71

Any given night 2 through 4 interchangeable.

  4. Medschoolmonkee

Aho at 16? People over there smoking crack

  5. dylanisbored

Whoever made this list, made it to get rage clicks

  6. Brodieboyy

Clearly this list is mostly based off of points scored and not factoring in overall game in which case it’s fairly accurate. But c’mon man sid not in the top 3 is a travesty

How is Jack Hughes above Petterson? Pete’s entirety of his career has been better than Jack’s. Hughes broke out to super stardom, but he’s had 1 good season. Petterson has had 1 “bad season” where he was injured.

Pettersson should be at least 7th other than that this list isn’t terrible

Id take Mackinon at 2 over Leon. I would also put Barkov at 6 since he actually plays the best defense of any Center on this list.

  10. Neon_Sternum

MacKinnon’s Nut Spearing/60 is way lower so I’ll go with him.

  11. I love how this whole comment section is basically a bunch of “[my team’s] center is better than the ranking suggests”

  12. RowAmbitious1485

No love for Stevie Stamkos? I think there are at least 10 centers in this list who ain’t better than Stammer

  13. Ghost_of_Krypteia

    No.

Drai > Mack and I will die on that hill

  14. slow_joke

How did they miss Stamkos on this list?

  15. avsfan96

You’d think people would be able to spell his name by now

  16. gentleman_bronco

Seeing Larkin at 19 on this list is both so right and so frustrating to see. He’s so good but this is definitely elite company.

I would actually like to know which characteristics/stats they took to determine this list of “top20”. Did they just look at scoring? Or Did they take into account leadership, Face off winning percentage, defensive metrics, etc. there are some odd names missing that you’d think would have made the top 20 such as Steven Stamkos, John Tavares, maybe even Joe Pavelski sneaks in etc.

But yeah, game 7 Stanley cup finals. I’m taking Mackinon. He’s more responsible on defence than Leon.

  18. Cannibalism411

Glad to see Brayden Point getting some love on the list at least. But Aho and Petterson should be over Hughes. I’m a fan of Hughes but a lot of his praise feels like recency bias.

  19. I used to think Mack was definitely better but the last two or three seasons I think either of them could have an edge over the other on a given night

  20. Marduke8329

Give me Leon personally. But to each their own I guess

  21. jpatt05

No. And mathews isn’t better than Crosby

  22. CubicalWombatPoops

I’d have to see MacKinnon on a line with Draisaitl and McDavid each for a season before I can make a decision.

  23. BugsJits

Look at 5v5 points from last season, and probably overall, and tell me mack isn’t better. Drai’s point totals benefit massively from being on the same PP unit as McDavid.

  24. MelatoninGummybear

You could definitely argue either one. MacKinnon is probably above Draisitl because he has a ring.

    Also they spelled MacKinnon wrong.

Also also, Crosby isn’t top 5 anymore imo

  25. junkpunch2

Finally a Redwing shows up on one of these lists again. It’s been far too long. I dare say larkin would have ranked higher had he had a better team around him through the first several years of his nhl career.

  26. Major_Revenue_5597

Dylan Larkin on the list. I’ll take it.

TNT bout to hop over 4-5 spots this year
