With the right team, goalies are going to do a whole lot better. Ullmark is a nice solid fit for us, and Iām looking forward to watching him play.

Ullmark is a solid signing for the Bruins and overall with him and Swayman they make an ok goalie pairing
To think Swayman is ready to be the starting goalie is ridiculous. after what? 10 games?I see it as ullmark platooning with Swayman much like thomas and Rask did. Rask is done. Think about it. They sign Ullmark at 4×5 and have Swayman waiting in the wings. To think Rask is gonna swoop back in in February is insane. Hes done.
Love, Love, Love this signing, I was wanting this since the end of last season. Ullmark is the real deal and will be cheaper than Rask was and at this point in time as good if not better than Rask. We can still have Tuukka in the wings to come back if there is an injury or one of the goalies is not doing well, but honestly I think Ullmark and Swayman have the potential to be the top goalie duo in the league for a cap hit of $5.9, last year Rask and Halak had a cap hit of $10m combined. This is a win win for the Bruins. Ullmark could end up being the best UFA signing this off-season.

I have mixed feelings about this. Ullmark could be a Tier 1 goalie and Swayman could be a franchise goalie. I hope Cassidy can keep both happy and motivated.
It's entirely realistic to think Ullmark could improve .010 save percentage. Going from .917 to .927 would put him right up with the league leaders. And playing in a tandem situation he's also much more likely to stay healthy. This is a great situation for him to step into.
He will playing a lot better cause heāll have better teammates to help him out Buffalo didnāt know how to do that

I like this signing but I'm really sad we traded Vladar. I wanted a Swayman/ Vladar tandem in the future. Plus we only got a 3rd for him. We probably could have waiting until the trade deadline and found someone to overpay for him.
Youāre assuming of course that Tuuka wants to come back. Heās mentioned several times that he has a young family and that he wants to spend more time with them. Not to mention that he is
co-owner of a hockey franchise in Finland. I think he will have found memories of Boston. But I think if he seeās Boston as OK in goal, he will call it a career. Heās made bank, so heās ready to enter the next phase of his life.
Buffalo fan here – not surprised Ullmark wanted out. Constantly changing management and probably a lot of ownership meddling unseen to the public has pissed-off a lot of key players. Ullmark is solid but he's nowhere near as good as Rask was when he was 27.
