  1. Nob has a great idea for how to celebrate a victory. You need to jump, kick a tiger in the face, throw a motorbike and fire an arrow… and also do the macarena. RRR. Well raced Captain. Good tactics… I shall try that in my next race…even though I'll be on my own having been dropped and questioning my life choices. I think I might buy a new jigsaw.

  2. Now I want to see comments from those other riders. As a weak sprint guy, I would still sit in on the sprinters until a bit later in the race, stay off the front, and then try to really crank up a steady effort, but I'm better at 5-10 minute efforts than going really long. If Kearns had enough juice to get a little gap and carry on for a bit, then two sprinters might really look at each other. Looking at the result I'd guess you would have crushed both of them if you got to the finish together. Also, I note that Rasmussen was DNF at 200m from the finish 😑

  3. 1:29 I love doing these tactics during races to see who cracks first 😂 Theres not enough in game banter during races, good fun winding each othe up 😂

  4. Great race Jake! It was so good to see you put a video up. I love how you constantly talk about tactics throughout the race because tactics will change from moment to moment depending on what the other riders do. See I would have stayed with the pack when that first guy jumped to get away but you chased him down so I learned from you! "One was knocked out cold, he didn't even make it out of the pen" 😂 there's always one zinger in there I catch! I was so glad to see your video because I knew it would make me smile. It's been a rough day. Big hugs!

  5. I’ve seen Rasmussen around a bit, good rider. I think Kearns was on a gravel bike, which I think is the best choice for this route. Great commentary and tactical battle.

  6. VERY clever tactic at the end there Jake! I think this was the one and only successful type of effort you could've chosen to finish in 1st place. Congratz mate! Awesome to watch! 😀
