I hate the guy but he's a damn genius on the ice.
K but this is like, a move he does 100 times a season. It’s fine, it’s smart hockey and a good play but it’s not that insane. The glove at the end was way cooler, imo

New to hockey and I have a question about this play, or this type of play, if someone can help me out. I remember being blown away when I saw the clip of Crosby doing this in Minnesota thinking it was a unique play only done once in a blue moon (it looked really really cool to me when I first saw it haha). Seeing this same play again, is this a common move by players? Or only common to Crosby?
Is it a good move yes. It’s it that impressive….ehhh. Literally no different than knocking it off the boards to yourself on a zone entry which happens about ummmm every game

Just another reason and example of why he's still the best hockey player in the world. McDavid will have his time with the title but he's not there yet while Sid is still playing like this.

Someone should make this guy a highlights compilation from this passed season. He was stellar af. I'm a Flyers fan so I'm not just some hurricanes fan hyping him up needlessly. He was a beast in net in 2020-2021.
