Pitlick had requested a trade prior to being moved – Renaud Lavoie
According to Lavoie, Pitlick had asked to be traded. Makes sense to me and glad that Hughes was able to accommodate. Pitlick is one of only 4 players under 30 on the Pens… crazy.
I get it. He was passed by several younger players on the depth chart and didn’t really have a path to an NHL spot with us.

I remember him sulking in the press box last year when Suzuki scored that deke goal while everyone else was cheering and happy and thought he was not long for this team.
Good luck Rem.
One R.E.M for a Rem I guess.

He’d had the one good run where he shot above 20%, but he’s really a replacement level type of guy. Hope it works for him in Pittsburgh, he’ll certainly get a shot for sure.

Guys? GUYS?

I liked him a lot. Solid player with occasional flashes of playing above his expected level. He seemed like a pretty smart, well-put-together guy in interviews and I wish him the very best in Pittsburgh.

I remember him giving up a sure goal to pass to Pezzetta, for him to score. It was such a weird generous play. Seems like a good kid. Wishing him the best in Pittsburgh.
