  1. Have fun, hope the air quality is ok. I'm still having PTSD from Chuck Fletcher's reign of terror, so I keep refreshing to see if they signed a walrus for 8×9 or something. Every news video with no Flyers news is refreshing because it means Briere might be sticking to the plan.

  2. DeBrincat overvaluing himself at a time there’s barely any money around the league. Should’ve taken what Ottawa was offering him and if he doesn’t, oh well

  3. Sens OVERPAID on a number of contracts and there's no way to renegotiate bad $$ contracts back down to the level they should be and that's that, as far i see it. Debrincat either takes the funds available, and if he waits to long has to sit out or takes minimum somewhere else. Its a too bad story.

  4. Debrincat(and/or his agent) is like that middle-aged guy that asks his wife to open up the marriage so he can "bang all the hot chicks".. and then quickly finds out that none of the hot chicks are the slightest bit interested in him.

  5. Seems like DeBrincat might have no choice the Sens have offered him the best contract by all reports and a lit of teams he wants to go to dont want to give him that long term deal hes looking for he says he likes the team and coaching staff so we'll see

  6. DeBrincat either goes long term in Ottawa or he takes less term somewhere he’d rather be and has to prove himself. Yzerman reportedly doesn’t like 7-8 year deals, so maybe he could get 6 if he’d settle. Or he could stay and get his full 8. Balls in his court, sort of.

  7. DeBrincat was really the only guy I wanted Yzerman to get. I knew we needed another depth forward and defenseman or two, but we really needed a good goal scorer. We basically got the opposite.

  8. Debrincat is only 25 WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU NOT BE WILLING TO GIVE HIM LONG TERM :DDD. These same buffoons go and give long term to 30yr old players… You could sign him long term for CHEAP right now before the cap rises in the upcoming years.

  9. players are starting to phase out their jobs…. want too much term and dollars

  10. if you have that type of greedy behaviour, I don't want you on my team

  11. Thanks for going out today! I think the Leafs were waiting to sign Bert but you were still home…

  12. Man, I wish the league would go back to the orange logo. I have not seen a jersey where the new silver logo beats it. That maybe nostalgia showing my age though.

  13. Dude needs to re sign or take whatever other teams are offering. His agent is an idiot that should be fired. Debrincat holding the sens back rn.

  14. Looks like DeBrincat is not as well liked as HE thought… either that or other teams are just waiting for him to be a UFA… I think more of the former… a case where being disgruntled and well known about it can work against you I guess.

  15. DeBrincat overplayed his hand. GMs are leery of his production without Kane feeding him the puck and for good reason. He needs to take a 'prove me deal' first before any GM is going to commit to him. I honestly think the production he put up in Ottawa is the norm for him. Roughly 30 goals and in between 60-70 points. That's not worth the $9M he is asking for especially with not so good defensive play.
It wouldn't surprise me at this point if he actually takes a 2 or 3 year deal with the Senators instead. He never asked for a trade, just that he didn't want to sign long term without seeing what is options are.

  16. guess end of this year will find out if Calgary are idiots for losing Phillips another player for nothing

  17. Drouin to the avs cld be the steal of the fa market. I can see him tearing it up w mack again. As a blues fan -ugh, but as a hockey fan, this is a great signing

  18. What’s up with the border? Also, does anyone think a universe exists where the cat ends up back in Chicago? We loved him.

  19. Wings signing him makes almost too much sense for Stevie Y. I'm starting to be convinced he doesn't want to leave the rebuild

  20. interesting…this video has a black border, the bertuzzi signing video had a blue border – anyone else getting the borders?

  21. If this information reported by Garrioch is true then Steive Yzerman is a hypocrite. Unwilling to give a 25 year old proven 40+ goal scorer term until he is 32 or 33 while willing to give, in back-to-back off-season, over 5 million AAV to 28 year old 3rd line centers until they are 33? Stupid!!! Again I only feel this way if this report is true, and it sounds like it is true.

  22. Why only 5 teams? Maybe Ottawa should ask him to increase the number of teams he would go to? Why should OTT care about his long term goals? They should only care about recouping assets that they spent for him

  23. The Sens have to offer him a 1 year $9M qualifying offer or lose his rights, so he'll sign that then be flipped at the trade deadline for whatever Ottawa can get for him. Then he'll be a 26 year old UFA in the off-season just when the cap jumps up by a ton, meaning plenty of teams will have the money to sign him to a huge deal. So even if he isn't traded to one of his preferred teams this off-season, he still will be the winner in the end barring injury.

  24. Well this is a little embarrassing for Debrincat and company🤣 not too many teams want spoiled players unhappy at making $9 million a year playing hockey… Who cares where! Looks good on him, lol

  25. DeBrincat deserves the ego hit. Young kid… hopefully he begins to understand he'll get a lot further just putting his head down and getting to work. Reap what ya sow.

  26. The mysterious black border makes it look like I'm watching this video on a giant cinema screen!

Then i ask myself, would I watch a The Hockey Guy Movie on the big screen? Him just reporting news and/or a madness board for 90 minutes.

    Yes. Yes I would!

  27. Shannon, I fully expect you to report on McAvoy marrying Mike Sullivan's daughter this summer! LMAO!

  28. I don't know what the Sens want in return but I think they should just hold on to him and try to trade him at the deadline if they are going to miss the playoffs.

  29. I don't see any need to rush on Dorion's part. If DeBrincat doesn't want to sign a reasonable contract with the team, the Sens might as well hold-out for the right deal. He's not doing himself any favors by not signing whatever offer Ottawa gave him. It wouldn't surprise me to see him wait until the season starts to sign a one-year deal with the Sens, get off to a terribly slow start, maybe hit the 20-goal mark if he gets hot at the end of the season, and decrease his value for next summer.
