Drew Remenda – One on One on Erik Karlsson and the state of the San Jose Sharks

In this exclusive discussion with San Jose Sharks broadcaster Drew Remenda, we discuss the legacy of Erik Karlsson, the number retirements of Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton, and the reclamation projects of Kevin Labanc, Anthony Duclair, and Oskar Lindblom.

Early on, Drew pays tribute to former Sharks coach Bob Murdoch, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and a former NHL defenseman, who recently passed away

We also discuss how coach David Quinn will deploy the roster, the vision Mike Grier has for the Sharks, and Erik Karlsson’s future with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Finally, we discuss Kevin Brown’s “suspension” from broadcasting and how team broadcasters must be allowed honesty in their assessments of the team they work for.

  1. What a wonderful interview! THANK YOU BOTH for this!
I've been watching the Sharks since Day 1 (went to the VERY FIRST game… Pre-season vs. Canucks at the Cow Palace)… and I LOVE this franchise. I know it's in good hands as long as we keep people like Marleau, Thornton, Drew Remenda, Randy Hahn, and Dan Rusanowsky.. I'm confident in Mike Grier… and I hope we're now on our way up.
