The only two reasons I could see them making this deal is because of the situation with TDA, and so we have more readily available depth in our system. Kase’s only played in 7 total NHL games, but he seems to be a decent two-way forward. He doesn’t really offer anything crazy, but he seems like the type of player that would work good in our system. Seems to be good at winning faceoffs and has solid patience when holding the puck. If nothing else he supplements our prospect pool and gives us a fourth-line option if guys start going down mid-season
