What's really frustrating about this if you're a Capitals fan is that the other 4 Caps players were up the ice trying to put a play together and get back in the game, and were stopped due to Wilson being undisciplined. Shame.
caps are the definition of a joke. having won 3 president trophies in last 7-8 years, being considered as N1 contender and never even pass the second round. that's a definition of joke right there my friends, and losing crucial game 2 against biggest rivals with a score 6-2 😀 that's a joke. Silly Wilson. Wilson got a game misconduct because you are not allowed to hit any penguins players in any situation. Page 52 Rule 1C, " A player who initiates contact with a pittsburgh penguins player will be penalized." Everyone should know that by now.
All these caps fans are confused, but when Wilson lifts his right shoulder and both skates to check is head (face) with a clear intent to injure that is considered a game misconduct penalty.
"For a violation of this rule, a major penalty shall be assessed (see 48.4). (48.4) Match Penalty – An automatic game misconduct penalty shall be assessed whenever a major penalty is assessed under this rule. " (the rule regards a lateral or blindside hit to the head.)
