It sickens me how when a Canadian team thats not montreal or toronto gets into financial trouble or even doesn't get the new arena they want Bettman is willing to move the team at what seems like the drop of a hat. If a Canadian team had one tenth the issues of the Yotes Bettman would hold a conference saying "well Huston looks like a good market, or we would try Atlanta again"

I live in Mesa and would cry if I could go to games 10 mins away. I would get to see my Flames easier! In all seriousness, the branding of the Coyotes is cemented in the legacy that they suck. They’re a joke. You’d have to rebrand and retool with money you don’t have. Unless they’re privately funded….
Just move the Yotes to Portland, already. Move them to Portland and switch the Oilers to the Central Division. (We have the Cascadia Cup in MLS, used to have a similar [albeit short-lived] rivalry in the NBA, and a three-team rivalry between the Winterhawks, the Silvertips, and the Thunderbirds. Not to mention that the Winterhawks used to share the Moda Center with the Trail Blazers before moving to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum full-time the season before last, so the NHL could have a team share the Moda Center with the Trail Blazers. [Plus, Portland could host a Winter Classic at Providence Park.])
Bettman's ego is the cause of all of this. He needs to go.

no one in az. wants yotes. no one in az. wants to do business with a con man. how many more rejections does nhl need to see this? slc could give nhl a new market centrally located with a billionaire owner and not much competition outside of jazz and soon to be big 16. bettman will never admit failure and rather let this franchise run aground as every az. community says NO to dirt bag owner. just another b.s ploy. maybe nhl changes their minds if slc gets the winter olympics bid and new arena that comes with it.
smyth in slc has an arena and lotsa $$$'s. conn. mayor is just waiting to reveal his big $$$ investors ready to bring nhl back to hartford which may include pat owner kraft. bettman would c-um in his pants to have kraft as nhl owner. Why bettman ignores that and continues to beat this dead horse to death may perplex forever. but hey yotes spent some of their endless cap $$$ on zucker and dumba.

Since the team came to AZ, the drafting has been abysmal. Player development a complete joke. Revolving ownership of ass clowns. Free agent talent aquisitions have been non existent. The home arena has never had real stability. Shyster owners, criminal GM's . Inept head coaching.
If you want to see the loneliest thing in the world, look up in the rafters. One 3rd round exit (only banner up there) is the best they have ever done. Shayne Doan is the only true Coyote to be "honored" with his number retired and this guy is a borderline HOFer at best.
Seriously., Phoenix can easily support a franchise just like Vegas and other non traditional markets, but this shit show doesnt deserve our $. Don't rip the fans… The franchise deserves our wraith.
