Like the Leafs signing Jones as goaltending insurance. These days, it's important to have 3 serviceable NHL experienced goalies. Like James Reimer, save % not great, analytics below average etc… but win loss record is more important.. 27-13 with Seattle. Pretty good. Tells me the team felt good with him in net, and had confidence. Problem with Jones is that when he gets bad, he gets really bad. Consistency is a continual problem with him. Hopefully he finds success in Toronto.

I happen to take note watching Jones a few times last year and I was surprised he looked very good.I don't need to look at any stats because goalie stats go as the team goes but I know Jones is a capable goalie so Toronto needs to blaming the goalies the same way the Flyers always like to blame their goalies.
The avs could have made that deal with Foote… brought a hometown boy in. Big dude. Doesnt play quite like his dad (at all), but would likely fit pretty well with the systems here.
Will be cool to see the brothers play together though.
