‘23 would be a little too much a scoring threat for the ‘20 team, and with the defense of the current squad. Idk who would be the scorer for the ‘20 squad.

I think it’s ’23. The forward group is just so much better.
That said, ’20 having two elite #1 defensemen playing at the top of their game (or at least until Miro started fading a bit in the conference finals) gives the defense a leg up.
And ’20 also had better playoff goaltending, even though I think Dobby’s performance gets overrated ’round these parts.

2023 would win in 6 games.
Better in net, way more top-end talent and a deeper forward group. 2020 has the deeper defensive core, but it wouldn’t be enough to win. That 2020 team just found a way, though, so I could see them pushing it to 6 or 7 games.

23 was a much better team than 20. 20 was catching lightning in a bottle. It was fun as fuck, but they were not a SC caliber team.

I think ’20 simply because that team was so well balanced with scoring depth, physicality, and defense with a hot goalie. We’re great now, but I think that team could have beaten Tampa if they weren’t battered and broken going into the Finals and would have been a good match up for the predominantly offensive approach we have now
