  1. VGK scooped Stone for peanuts b/c other teams had to move on. PLD and one of our D plus a prospect for Byfield,Durzi and Pinelli or a 2nd round pick.

  2. You’re asking way too much from the kings for PDL. Plus, Winnipeg doesn’t have much leverage if PDL says you either trade me to LA or you get shit at the end of next season.

  3. The Kings just got Fiala last year for a 1st and Faber. Fiala is a point per game player. How is PLD the worth more than him. If PLD would have played all 82 games, he would’ve maybe had around 70 points this year. The most the Kings should offer is a 1st and Spence. Maybe add another 2nd

  4. Kings fans saying its not a good deal to give a 30 goal scorer for someone who only scored 3 goals playing with Kopitar for the year. How is this an overpay exactly, someone let me know.

  5. Listening to LA sports media…Byfield has not met expectations and some are saying the Kings might be willing to move him in the right deal. The Kings get a proven center and the Jets get a younger version center with potential. Not the worst deal in the world. A proven first line center is worth more than some also-rand pieces.

  6. That trade offer is so laughable. No way they Kings Trade all of that just for the cry baby

  7. Re: the current PLD saga, I believe PLD and his agent, Pat Brisson, are simply posturing. They have one goal in mind, that is to get the best possible one-year "rental" deal with another NHL team for the 23-24 season, that is before he signs a long-term deal with the Canadiens. I am convinced Dubois' ❤️ is in Montréal, that he ultimately wants to become a Hab, and at the end of the day, will gladly accept whatever Kent Hughes offers him, which in my opinion would be a contract similar to that of Suzuki's or Caufield's. I am convinced Kent Hughes will not give up any assets to obtain him. It doesn't make any sense given the fact the Habs can get him for free next year once he becomes an UFA. Montréal has total leverage.

But should he sign an 8-year deal with another team à la Matthew Tkachuk, well … his true colors would finally be revealed, and if that turns out to be the case, well … so be it. The ball is in his court.

That being said, I'd be very surprised if any other team other than the Habs take a chance on signing Dubois to a long-term contract given his track record of abandoning ship on 3 separate occasions : while in Columbus, while in Winnipeg, and let's not forget, while he was in the QMJHL with Cape Breton.
