Really great article of Kylington discussing his mental health and time away from hockey. There is also a video at the bottom of the page with english subtitles. I think this may be the first time he’s talked about why he didn’t play last year.
I’m glad he was able to get the help he needed. He’s happy, healthy and ready to get back on the ice. Let’s gooooooo!!!

Good to see he’s doing well. It’s not important to anyone but him why he took this time. I never want to hear why. I just care that he’s human and his mental health is good.

Beyond happy to hear he is doing well and able to talk about the difficult times, that’s always a great sign of a healthy mindset. And so helpful to others who are experiencing struggles, his story might encourage them to reach out for help. It will be great to have him back on the ice!

Great news, mental health is key, looking forward to Kylington putting on a skating clinic this year.

Anyone got a summary of why he didn’t play? It is a real pain in the ass to translate this on iPhone.

Well that will put the Flames in cap hell adding $2.5M back on the books …
… guess Backlund is on the move.

I really commend the Flames org and Calgary media for the way they have worked with Oliver through his time away from the team.
