The correct question is how many 60-goal seasons will he have?
I’m going to say 2-3.
I just checked real quick, but big names like Ovechkin, Stamkos, Matthews and McDavid have had only 1 60-goal season in their careers (so far).
Except for McDavid, the other natural goal scorers only did it in really early in their career… so it’s kinda confirmed that Caufield will score 60 goals this or next season.
Cole is probably my favorite current Hab but let’s see a full season before talking about 60 goals. I’ll be more than happy with 40

These stats mean nothing, give me a full season worth of stats then we’ll talk. Remember Ryan Poehling was at a 160 goal projection based on goals per game…
I really hope so but let’s wait until he stays healthy and reaches 40 before shooting for 60. I’m old enough to remember Brian Savage. He was our great 30 goal scorer who could probably reach 40. The only problem was he never actually scored 30 goals in a season and couldn’t stay healthy.
Caufield is a much better player and I hope he reaches his potential but watching this team since the 80s and only seeing Stephane Richer hitting 50 I have learned to not get my hopes up.
Let’s start by hitting 40 goals. We’ll see after.

I think Caufield has the most pure talent I’ve seen in a Habs player since Kovalev, and a killer drive too. He’s already produced at a 50 goal pace on a bad team, a peak of 60 is reasonable if the team is successful in creating enough scoring chances (possession/game control and powerplay improving as players are added and mature)
The other fanbases hate on Cole so much LOL
Hope he gets 40-45 this year and shuts them up
