He was playing in the era of Gretzky, Lemieux, JĆ”gr… and in the end he was the one stealing the show. And it was also era of Roy, Brodeaur, etc… whoever you think was the best, HaÅ”ek was the only one.

Hasek was not the best goalie to ever play, but he was hands down the most exciting to watch.
I have seen them all starting with Tretiak. Hasek is most definitely the best among them. If he were a Canadian – they would have a statue of him in every town. Beyond comparison
