After the Sebastian Aho signing, I’m not sure if the Leafs can keep William Nylander and this maybe his last season playing in the blue and white. #hockey #nhl #torontomapleleafs
Don’t get me wrong I love Willy, but we can’t have all this money tied up in 4 players, i don’t see tavares matthews or marner leaving, yes tavares eventually but not this season nobody will take his contract, but willy, we can get some good pieces for him, it’s sad to see him go but it’s needed
Sign him for $10.5M x 6 years with no trade protection…flip him as the return for Nylander would be insane if this season he carries a $6.9M AAV or use him as a rental for this season and flip him next off-season.

If the Leafs need a change then trading Nylander might be the best option

Hockey is more about the money then the sport, hockey gets less interesting as a sport with every contract.
