The elbow was coincidental with the height difference, it was a fair hit. From the Traverse City NHL Prospects Tournament Championship game between the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 at the Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City, Michigan.

Just wait until he plays for a couple of years!
keep your head up!
Hard to get a good look at it, but it doesn't look intentional really.
perfectly legal hit…god the league turned this sport into calling EVERY thing…FUCK THIS! It's FUCKING HOCKEY FOR CHRIST SAKE!
glad Christian got up right away. we need him healthy for taining camp lol
kinda controversial especially cos it happens so fast… can't really blame the ref cos it first looks like the contact was made to Thomas' head with an elbow. I watched the replay many times before concluding that it wasn't worth of a penalty
As soon as your elbow comes in contact with the other players head, it's an automatic penalty. Yes he is taller than Christian but he can tuck his arm in and use his shoulder, then it may have been a legal hit.
@jordin22rules his arm didnt come up until after contact his it was clean shoulder just the momentum that brought his arm up
BS. Thats clean
Great hit! B.S. call.
@Redtsar999 this wasnt an exibition game, it was a rookie tournament.
How can he not make a high hit he is 6'5 and the guy he hit looked to be under 6'0 of course the hit will be high unless mcnabb is on his knees
WOW that was a terrible call…that was a clean hit 100%
legal? wtf?it almost hit his head
