However, one matchup he no longer entertains is facing former UFC “champ-champ” Conor McGregor. During the post-fight press conference, Paul dismissed “Notorious” and even offered some advice, suggesting McGregor seek help and enter rehab. Instead, Paul expressed his interest in fighting Nate in an MMA bout, taking on more professional boxers, and aiming for a match with the highly skilled boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
Unfortunately, a fight against Canelo appears unlikely as the renowned Super Middleweight champion has shown no interest in entertaining that bout.
On the other hand, McGregor’s plans to face Michael Chandler, following their coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), seem to have fallen through. McGregor has shifted his focus to current “BMF” title holder, Justin Gaethje.
