    A) with what cap space?
    B) hell yeah I love our center depth now

Another name that was rumored for a while now, seems like Dhali had all the info this summer. One name left linked to Canucks is Max Comtois

Helps centre depth for sure… but with what cap space? Pearson or Mikheyev have a setback and starting on LTIR?

  4. RepulsiveHumanShell

Really curious on what we do to fit under the cap now.

Full marks to Allvin and co, this is a player we need (center who is defensive), who isn’t too old, isn’t on a hamstring contract, and really can help us. I honestly expected more years or a higher AAV.

We will have to figure out cap things (expect some other shoes to fall), but I am really impressed, this is a great bet.

All of Canucks media is sleeping that the Canucks has to break the news themselves first.

  7. Great signing. Allvin is doing a fantastic job.

I LOVE this move. Been asking for it since the beginning of free agency. Great cost too.

No way we could have bluegar as a 3LC.

Canucks are looking really solid this coming season

Kinda expensive for a guy who ranked 11th by forwards by TOI/GP on Detroit last season. $1.6mil for a fourth liner? Hmm…

How many of us were hoping for exactly this move. Absolutely a great addition, and the contract is very low risk. I’m feeling pretty good about our centre depth now.

Time to hit YouTube for Pius Suter highlights lol

Good signing. Also gotta love how GMPA loves dropping news on Fridays.

Damn. Tidy signing. We have a little bit of centre depth now, even if our centres are A+, B+, C, C, C.

I wonder where Aman slots in.

  14. mephnick

Man I didn’t think we’d get him. This is a great signing.

Honestly, its just nice to see this organization is data driven again.

Someone will be moved out and that could potentially be Myers. Isn’t our D weak without him on the 3rd pairing?

  17. CA_spur

Suter is a fantastic fit for us and at that cap hit, on a multi year deal, is a huge score

  18. WhereOhWerewolves

Ah yes, the lesser-known but most religious Sutter brother, Pious Sutter.

  19. Suter and Soucy were my top 2 favorite realistic targets. Feels good to sign them both.

  20. RadioFast9946

Not overly familiar with him. How is he with face-offs and the PK?

  21. That’s a great signing. But if he plays 4C I hope they keep Aman.

Is this likely the forward group on opening night?

    – Kuzmenko Petey Mikheyev
    – Boeser Miller Podkolzin
    – Beauvillier Suter Garland
    – Joshua Blueger PDG/Pearson
    – Hoglander
    (Podz AHL?)

Buying out OEL looks to be paying off big time an OEL can retire without anyone bothering him in Florida win win

  24. blackpeppersnakes

I love the trickle down effect of a good acquisition. 3rd/4th/pp2/pk all look so much better on paper now

  25. Strict-Caterpillar38

This is a fantastic contract, and fills a huge need. I like Aman a lot, but this way he can play big minutes in Abby and then be the first call up when we have a center injury. It should be good for his development and gives us much better depth. Maybe Aman could also play some wing on the 4th line too if injuries hit. He’s fast and can forecheck so why not.

  26. TurbanGhetto

We actually have some good depth in our top 6 and now our bottom 6 for the first time in a long while.

Hopefully Suter and Blueger can push one another.

Suter is the sexiest non sexy signing this team has made in some time (especially at that term and AAV).

  27. SuddenlyChineseFood

Whatever happens this season, it certainly wasn’t for a lack of trying.

  28. Aguaymanto

Great signing. Feel a bit bad for Aman likely getting pushed down to Abby. Probably a good thing though, hopefully he can make the team full time in 24-25
