That was probably the most insane thing I’ve seen in 23 years of watching hockey regularly, and Korpi will always have a special place in my heart because of it.
I try not to play the what if game too much because that way lies madness with CBJ but man it’s still hard not to wonder what could’ve happened if Elvis hadn’t gotten hurt against Toronto and we’d been able to give Korpi a break. Guy looked completely and utterly exhausted by the time elimination rolled around.
