Tony Granato is very much alive. He’s in Tampa, Florida. He’s in his late fifties.

I met him once. I worked for a furniture store in Denver and some assistant to the GM called and ordered two blue leather sofas. But she needed delivery that day. My buddy and I hopped in his truck and delivered them ourselves. The equipment manager gave us a pretty great tour of the locker room, equipment rooms and all that. We bumped into Coach Granato, had a brief conversation. It was a really cool experience.

I reread this headline. It’s “Late 80’s” Ranger. Not late “80’s Ranger”.
He’s not dead – he is just highlighted to be a Ranger in the late 80’s
