  1. It's not awesome he knows he had to do it because the trade caused a lot of talk and creates a negative atmosphere because current goalies see it as a negative a couple defensemen see it as a negative because if Petry plays someone is moved out.IMO the trade had only ONE agenda and that was to get rid of Hoffman and who he got back to make the deal work did not matter.
So creating some negativity with that trade he knew he had better speak up and soon.

  2. The question about Slafkovky's size MANY with common sense have already commented that it is too big AND perhaps more important management have asked him to lose some weight.Having played hockey for 30 years I know what a big player does they are tiring to play against when playing defense against them but as a forward they are also SLOW not just skating but all their movements are sluggish.I used to relish making moves on big forwards they had to cheat to stop me from going around them they are just too slow simple as that and Slaf's weight is way over the top 20 lbs should be a quick priority or he won't be doing anything in the NHL.

  3. Prim o is currently the excluded guy! He will hang with Laval or be mooved—NOT a Habs member. I saw last year Monty as the starter > >> he cd do 40 or more >>> lotsa faith in the Jake Allen. Now Habs need SCORERS !

  4. If you talk just pure goal scorer yeah Caufield is up there but if we look at more complete player I would take Brady Tkachuk. Big, tough, can drop, captain of his team already and can score 30 goals + and get under your skin. You can't just look at goals when you evaluate a player. Tkachuk brings much more to the table than Caufield.

  5. Sam montembeault> woman beater Casey desmith. I'm ashamed that there is any talk about whether Logan mailloux can play on the NHL when we trade for woman beater Casey desmuth. Shouldn't even be a discussion around mailloux at all. Report on that guys. Cmon

  6. Someone needs to show me why Slafkovsky is part of any "top" list of anything. As of yet he has demonstrated nothing as far as a quality hockey player, not speed, not IQ, not placement, not anticipation, hiting….nothing. He's very young and still green, I would hope people let him alone so that he can evolve into, maybe, some day, a good NHL caliber player….as of yet, he is not.

  7. So very, very, VERY happy for Monty.
He's busted his ass and improved last year so he MORE than deserves the starting position.

  8. Why do you have a green moustache, Josh? Look to your lighting, mon ami. Or it's green, which is OK to 🙂 Excellent episode. Any goalie centric episode has me clicking.

  9. Mr. Hughes is an outstanding GM, not only because of his excellent business practices, but also due to his moral standards and for his respectful attitude toward the players, regardless of their status with the team. A real professional.

A great communicator both with the fans and the players.

Molson scored 4 aces by hiring Gorton & Hughes IMO.

  10. Agreed with Josh. HABS fans on average were far too critical and impatient with Slaf without taking everything into perspective, such as his age, his debut in an NHL environment, the difference in the rink size etc.

As HABS fans it's our responsibility to support our team through this rebuild regardless of the hiccups along the way IMO.

We have a competent management team with new ideas and they deserve our full support for modernizing and bringing our team forward.

  11. Hey guys, how com MR Poirier doesn’t speak French at all, and Josh, from New-Foundland can say Longueuil and Montembeault flawlessly???Quite good French pronunciation for “le beau Gosse”😂👍🏼

  12. Let's see if Hughes has the same opinion after the first month of the season! Desmith is a hedge against Montembault getting lit up!

  13. I never want to see petry in a habs jersey again. He doesn’t deserve it.

  14. Montembeault can be starting this year but he isn't number 1 goalie calibre
