Canadian short track speed skater Samuel Girard won gold in the men’s 1,000-metre event on Saturday, February 18, at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
His time, after eight laps, was 1:24.650. John-Henry Krueger, of the United States, was second with a time of 1:24.864. South Korea’s Seo Yira was third with a time of 1:31.619.
