  1. Love this film brake down, I want to know if you know the definitive play call that you brake down zone , man, cover 2, cover 3 !! Being a Lion fan … they should at least make a wildcard playoff birth. Would love to hear your opinion on if they at least make a playoff berth?

  2. Another solid video, I think both are looking like great picks. I am curious what you think of the Lions gap and a half front. Some content, AG is from a 3-4 front and they tried to implement that with McNeil as a true NT 2 years ago, it didn't work. So they moved to a 4-3 1 gap last year and that didn't work (1st 8 games was terrible defense). Now they are using what they call gap and a half by blending a bit of both. Using D-Line in the SAM role and giving a 5-2 look or setting a hard edge and expecting the DT to play with outside leverage but then pinch those A-Gaps to force them to bounce. It's definitely interesting, and so far it's worked well.

  3. I’m still trying to get used to all of the national love that my team is getting 😮Lions fans aren’t used to this. Great vid!

  4. I think the Lions D is being slept on big time. Im betting they jump 15 spots (at least) in the defensive rankings. All the rookies looked great except maybe LaPorta.

  5. As a giants fan… I could watch Brian branch play football all day. He’s just so good at ball man.

  6. I've been screaming this from a mountain top but I would have taken branch at 12 he's that good. I haven't seen a dB for the lions make a play like that in 3 or more years.

  7. First tieme watching the channel, great breakdown and content! Definitely going back to look at more

  8. Love that one of Campbell's highlights is where Rodriguez gets trucked. Maybe Kool aid fans will learn what a real LB looks like now

  9. Lions fan here. I think the two second round picks from 2023 will end up being better players than the two first round picks. Brian Branch is going to make teams wish they hadn't passed on him. The dude is a baller.

  10. Campbell and Branch are the real deal. They are still rookies so they have some learning to do yet. They are going to be all-Pros by the end of year 2. Broderic Martin is what you think he is. A huge guy you can put at DT and make runs up the gut a wasted play. He has learned to stay lower and when he does that, he is hard to move without a double team. He is has a defined role for the Lions, and he makes the most of his strengths (size and arm reach).

  11. Branch and Campbell are going to have a good time why because both guys like to work with coache Dan Campbell and they want to be on the team and they are going to work hard to get on the team.Go lions…

  12. As a lions fan I am so happy to find your channel. This is one of the best break down videos I’ve seen on my team. Wish you were a dedicated lions channel!

  13. This is great film breakdown! As a Luons fan, I was very skeptical of their draft but Brad Holmes has proved that he knows what he is doing. Very excited for this season! Go Lions!

  14. Martin is a more important pick than those guys. We need to get much better at stopping the run. Safeties and linebackers don't have good days if their defensive tackles are getting pushed around.

  15. It's looking better than last year. Love the last play with Martin and Campbell. Martin gets free enough for a grab to slow the RB down, and Campbell comes in and finishes it. If they can continue stuff like that on 3rd and short, we should be solid. Offense will have to worry about getting stopped short or the secondary shutting down the pass.

  16. wow houston looked like he was afraid of contact on that last run.
The rookies are looking SOLID though.

    good breakdown man.

  17. John Cominsky, totally underrated player, and totally underrated pick up by Brad Holmes.

  18. New to channel Let's Go! Boot Up! Go Lions!🦁🏉🔥💪💯 Superbowl Champions I BELIEVE!!!🦁🏉🔥💪💯

  19. I thought Campbell stuffed the run on 3rd 2 & 4th 1 on back 2 back plays.
    Surprised that was missed.
Also, I don't remember the game being 10-0 but maybe my memory is off.

  20. Glad to see Broderick playing lower and as you can see he was not moved an inch. The guy is immovable! If he takes the coaching and clean up the technique he's a potential freak!

  21. 1st time watching your videos. I like the analysis and your highlighting of the players you are talking about. Subscribed.

  22. The young LBs Campbell and Barnes an Rodriquez had great gap run fits. I think we might have a little difficulty with counter’s but they will learn to not over persue.

  23. Jack Campbell is a jackhammer. Branch figures out the rotational coverages with that speed, we will see some big plays from him.

  24. Wow. This is my favorite lions podcast I’ve ever seen. So informative. This guy has a gift of teaching. One constructive criticism. I know 99% of the watchers don’t care but I was planning on sharing this video with my two sons until I heard the swear words. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that, excellent job.

  25. Holmes keeps getting DAWGS. I am so excited because I think we're going to have one of the best offenses in football and a much-improved defense. Inevitably the defense will have growing pains with all the young guys, but vets like CJGJ and Sutton coming in are huge. This team is starting to remind me more and more of the 2016 Falcons. An offense that lights you up all over the field and then runs it down your throat, and a young scrappy defense that plays hard and fast.

Sorry I just watched the entire Dorktown docuseries on the Falcons 😂. Hopefully, if the Lions DO make it as far as those falcons, they achieve a much better fate!

  26. Really liked your work. Profesional Grade! Subscribed and liked. Looking forward to seeing more!

  27. I kinda got down on myself for watching so much Brian Branch Alabama film during the draft process. I thought the Lions had a snowball's chance in hell to land him and jumped for joy when they got him! He just plays, man, and gets to the ball faaaast!

  28. I’ve been quietly positive since draft day 2 this class would turn out to be amazing. So far they’re all already producing. If the lions can develop long term most of these players will be fantastic a long time

  29. Our rookies and the defense in general showed such huge improvement from last year. It's crazy to think that Julian Okwara, playing 3rd string reps might not make the roster even considering his performance Friday there's so much depth at DE.
