This is a Career Defining Season For NJ Devils Alexander Holtz!

This is a Career Defining Season For NJ Devils Alexander Holtz. Those where the words from Devils management to Alexander Holtz during his exit interviews. Since 2020 being drafted 7th overall in the first round, Holtz hasn’t shown his potential and the Devils were firm with what they expected of him to work on this off-season.
In this video I talk about Holtz, his stats, and what he’s been upto and will training with Jesper Bratt closely this offseason turn Alexander Holtz into the player we all expected he would be or will the Devils look at players within the system like Nolan Foote, graeme clarke, Tyce Thompson, or bring back Tomas Tatar who is being rumored to be linked to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

  1. I think with the top 9 NJ has right now, Holtz can get a spot on the 3rd line with Haula and Palat and be very effective. Those two are much better potential linemates for him than he had in the past and will likely be getting more ice time than the 3rd line was getting last year. This is the biggest thing Holtz needs: quality ice time with guys who can boost his game. Haula helped Jack a tremendous amount and I think he would do the same for Holtz.

  2. I thought Holtz trained with Bratt last off-season as well? I do think this is a make it, or break it year for him. He has to show improve this season otherwise I think Fitz will be forced to trade him off. I still think he can make it in the NHL but not in the system the Devils play.

  3. It's unfortunate he didn't get a lot of games in the NHL or AHL last season. Fitz kept him up incase of injuries or poor production from other players and in the end, they didnt need him. You're right this is a big year for him. I think he'll show up.
