This free agency, GMPD made a surprising yet amazing move signing three time 25 goal scorer Evgenii Dadonov to a 3 year contract with an AAV of $5 million. This signing is huge for the Senators organization, as this adds solid scoring agility to the top 6. This also allows prospects like Drake Batherson to develop behind Dadonov and Connor Brown, making it an easier transition. Dadonov is also a power play specialist, and helps fix majority of the special teams issues.
Dadonov recorded 25 goals and 47 points in 69 games during the 2019-20 NHL season with the Florida Panthers, as well as 1 assist in 4 playoff qualifier games in the bubble.
