As expected. The Leafs will always find new and creative ways to embarrass themselves. Tavares is a total zero out there, Matthews too. It's almost like the core players are the boat anchors of this team. No heart or will to get after it. Holl getting dummied by Nuge was the cherry on top. The fact that they can still come out and lay eggs like this is why it's impossible to get excited for this group. The core players have an identity, and that identity is failure.
why did AZ give away Chychrun to OTT for nothing, after demanding a king's ransom for two years? something is not right, almost criminal.

There is no urgency in our core. They only can play a one dimensional game. Sure have a slow start but put the hammer down after the intermission but nothing. Amazing.

Time to get rid of 44 even more useless than 3 on the team. Package 44, 3 and 15 for draft pics or a descent Goalie. For every goal 44 scores, he causes 20 goals against.
The all stunk from the goalie out. Holl is the whipping boy but at least he made some hits and had a fight. At this point they should trade Holl, its best for everyone. Leafs looked like a beer league team playing the last game at 11:30pm..horrible effort
This Leafs team will continue to underperform regardless what kind of team they have or what kind of addition they did. Win one, lose one. Win three, lose 2. They can't even beat the Oilers so how in the hell do they expect to get out of their division? Sad to say but the way they've been playing of late, it's one and done again in the playoffs.

Among several other Leaf players last night, Morgan Riellyโs indifferent performance needs to be addressed by senior management. Assuming that hockey remains a contact sport, why does he get away with not following through on his checks? You donโt have to check a player over the boards to do that effectively but it it makes it a lot easier for the goalie when the opposition consistently plays a physical price for occupying space in front of the net and in the corners.
I think the parade route should go along Young Street. I assume Boston has a Young Street.
Oilers played like this was their cup and just wanted it bad. I donโt blame them, Leafs have had their number for the last couple years. No biggie, we regroup and answer the bell in Calgary.

Edmonton played like a playoff team. Marner was getting knocked off the puck and out muscled just like playoffs last season. Going to be the same thing this playoff run. The "superstars" are too soft for playoff hockey
