    I think you could argue if that they even lose the Stanley Cup finals Bob could still win the Conn Smyth

    They get outshot horribly most nights and they still win. He is the main reason they are in this position. Not a hall of famer especially if osgood isnt . Deserves the conn smythe win or lose

    So, if you only play 2 years at a HoF level, that’s more worthy than 7 out of 14 years? How’s that make any sense? Bob hasn’t been consistent. but for about half his career and the years he’s been ON, he’s been near the best.

    By Elliot’s logic, Jim Carrey should be a HOFr.

    HOF induction aside, Friedman’s opinion about goalie quality seems naive at least.
    Should one really value goalie’s consistency over the skill to evaluate a career? What if the guy played for Blue Jackets and Florida, not Boston, Tampa or Pittsburgh? And what is exactly the down year?

    In the meantime, Bob is by far Conn Smythe favourite this year, even if they lose

    Best goaltender still not in is Osgood. Bob is like that great but underated. He will never get in even though he deserves it.

    He’ll go down as a well known goalie, but I don’t think he’s HoF calibre.. I think they admit too many as it is

    Bobvrosky would have been a top goalie but he's not a HoF. We speak about a goalie who lost his job before the playoffs for Alex Lyon from AHL.
    Bob is inconsistent from several seasons now. When he's as his top he surely his one of the best if not the best goalie. He showed it with the Cats and the Blue Jackets. But when he's not at his top he is atrocious to meh at best.
