I just watched an interview with Hughes, and he said he basically did the trade to Detroit to help Petry, he wasnt trying to maximize his value, he wanted to make Jeff happy! lol, well congrats, im sure he's happy, and that's really kind of u. He also said he thinks the team is better this year then last, HOW? Because of Newhook? That's all they've added… I am getting tired of hating on my team, get a couple goal scorers please, FFS…

Well, we knew he wasn't long with the Hans when they reacquired him–The Red Wings are on the rise and , maybe, he can help,2nd or 3rd pair. Be safe getting home.
Hehe.. only way to get a 1st rounder for Petry if he played this coming season with the habs.. not get hurt(hardest part).. play decent hockey.. then flip for a PO team (team that is going all in) before the trade dl.. even that.. not sure. I'll say 2nd rounder for sure.
What's interesting is I would prefer playing Lindstom over David Savard.. both similar but former has a better shot and pass.. but need Savard to play if we want trade em in the near future. Savard can get us a high pick.. Hehe.. maybe a 1st rounder.. lol

Hughes made a promise to Petry that he will get him to an American team before the school year starts for his kids. Very classy GM. I think free agent players of the future will give Montreal bonus points for stuff like this.
