On today’s Western Conference Tuesday edition of Locked on NHL, Seth Toupal and Nick Morgan react to Cale Makar being announced as the cover athlete for NHL 24. Seth reveals some startling history about teams’ lack of success during the season in which one of their players is on the cover, with only 2 of 27 teams advancing past the 1st round. Seth and Nick also announce some other worthy candidates for the cover. Both Seth and Nick then discuss new rules banning fighting in the QMJHL and whether or not similar rules will eventually reach the NHL. We finish by ranking the top 10 centers in the Western Conference, with a few tiers once again separating the top of the list from the rest!

You mention Eichel as being one who should have been considered for the cover, based on his playoff performance. Or Tkachuk. What about Makar's performance last playoff run, and the cover was Zegras??
