  1. I appreciate you honesty….but …any time I think of Gally leaving MTL I get sad😢.

  2. DeSmith and Savard will be gone before the season starts and with some really good luck and a momentary lack of good judgement some team might take Armia for free. Gallagher's contract isn't moveable he'll retire within a couple years and if they have to retain salary to move Anderson in the next couple years Hughes won't move him. His shoulder seems good now, he has grit and they like him too much even though he's overpaid. There's no power forward prospects. Dvorak and Evans are gone sooner or later. Monahan at the trade deadline if he's healthy and they're not making the playoffs. Who'd I miss? Ah whatever.

  3. This video is inspiring me to make a way way way in the future prediction for the 2025-2026 lineup, all players and lines interchangeable. I'd be surprised to see Anderson and Gally get traded, for different reasons.

    Slaf – Suz- Cauf
    Heinemen – Dach – Roy
    Farrell – Newhook – Anderson
    RHP – Beck – Gally

    Guhle – Mailloux
    Hutson – Reinbacher
    Xhekaj – Barron

    Extras: Engstrom, Mesar

    Monty, Fowler

Playoffs with this lineup? Hell yes.

  4. Pretty much spot on with everything other than maybe Gallagher. Not so sure that contract can be moved until the last year of it and then traded at the deadline.

Now, that all depends on what he does this year. If he comes out of the gate on a 25-30goal pace and stays healthy, you never know. Still unlikely however.

Savard and Matheson, they will play out their contracts and likely be traded at the deadline in their respective end of contract years.

  5. I would like to see Kent maybe use Kovacevic as a trade chip down the road to maybe unload a contract, like maybe Savard or Dvorak. As for Gally, I love the guy, like many have said, he is a warrior, have to keep him and let him mentor the kids until he feels its time to hang them up.

  6. Gally would not have suffered from Webers shots if Weber could control the shot but by the time he got to Montreal he was on a continual downward slope…too slow getting up after a block, shot accuracy gone to hell, no idea where the puck was going but his body also took a beating from his style of play and that is why Nashville bailed on him….no one has Gally's heart or gumption… I think Gally is going to ride out the contract as why leave that money on the table…

  7. Pretty good analysis they're junkie however I do think we underrate the Devorac There's bigger problems on the team than Deborak Such as galley's contract is awful. Evan, it's awful Evans doesn't have the talent To hope do the kids he hasn't been sent the same since the big hit. To Survived later, go at trade deadline or the following season. And you're right, we're gonna lose a couple of those defense Defense man because we're so deep. They'll be good to trade bait. Josh anderson god knows what to expect there. And I think you're right with Matheson, I hope I'll be getting traded after a year two before the Is trade deadline. And the only reason we're So hard on Christian devorac It is because burger man overpaid for Him. Endo be careful junkie On a certain podcast this morning The guru Put out false information there has been no meeting with logan and Is bettman. He states there was a meeting in July which is total b s .

  8. Gallagher? Nope – heart and soul type. You don't trade him because that sends a bad message; nope, he has to retire or exit on his terms.

  9. I think we keep gally until he retires if he’s willing to take a huge pay cut for his next contract. He’s still the heart and soul of this team and he deserves to finish his career here. It’s not like he’s going to provide no value on the ice, I believe he’ll be able to put up decent 4th line numbers in his old age

  10. Everyone who wants to keep Gallagher is using emotion over rational thinking.
He is the worst contract on the team if not on LTIR.

  11. man, i wish we could just talk hockey over a couple of beers. i think dach is a younger more talented anderson, so no need to keep both. we are stuck with gally, and i would even be okay if he resigned for a team-friendly deal. but i'm nostalgic for the guys who have been around forever. i do think the backend will still need savvy and/or matheson on the back end a little longer, because there is always a need for a strong veteran presence back there. even though the kids will be 24-25 when matheson's deal is up, that is still too young to be holding down the back end. now, what about the goalies? i was hoping primeau would have matured into another price (as he was expected to as a prospect), but we got like 3 solid ahl goalies, and 2 nhl backups….

  12. Not so much about bad player's, it's just about terrible contracts…..and it's like handcuffs on the lineup.

  13. Thx for the vid. The sooner Gally goes, the better. Love Armia and hope stays long term, lol. He's an absolute 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

  14. At least 6 guys will be gone within 2 years: Allen, Savard, Wiseman, Dvorak, Armia, The Spaghetti Western Gunslinger, Condotta, PLUS 2 young defensemen. Gallagher in 3 years, maybe…. Anderson, Monahan, are good players but could be moved when replaced by better, younger, cheaper guys. Hughes doesn't panic, so he'll get a deal done when it's right.

  15. Guys are gonna scream about Gallagher on the 4th line, but he clicks with Evans. If Gally, Evans and Pezz or Ylonen, can help us win, great! You need 4 GOOD lines to win. I love his play, he belongs here and he's humble enough to play 4th line and make a difference.. I don't think his body has 4 more years, maybe a team will want him, maybe we can keep 50% to trade, but complaining is negativity. Hughes respects him too much and will work something out, besides you only trade when you have a better replacement.

  16. i think we should let Gallagher retire in mtl ,for all the heart he gave here, give him what we didnt give Markov…at a lower salary like Markov offered…
i like monahan ,Pezzetta Savard Guhle and Xhekaj in their respectives roles and i would like them to stay long term
For Hondacevic Barron and Harris i…never really ike them or i dont expect much from them. With the coming of Hutson,Mailloux and Reinbacher like said in video i think we should think to trade them if its not already done
Armia and Anderson are the same for me, they dont bother me if they stay or go
Dvorak… for me is the same trade as Newhook trade…not bad but…the price paid is to high.Dont really like them even if good

  17. Anderson is from my city. Been waiting 65 yrs for this. BTW, Jonathan kovacevic is from the hammer where I was born.
