i use to listen to Buffalo Sabers games on the radio sunday night every week back in the early 80.s because of Rick Jeanerate and my team is the Leafs, he made the broadcast fun to listen too, that MAY DAY MAY DAY, was funny but awsome at the same time, R,I,P RICK
it is time too trade Nylander , thier not paying him what he wants and the Leafs cant afford 4 10 mil plus salaries. trade him he is a 1 dimensional player that dosent back check nore plays defence, just get the best possible deal for him like a top right shot defenceman for him that makes less than what he wants, problem solved

If the Leafs give Matthews anything more than $12.5 million then the Leafs are screwed because Nylander won't accept more than $3 million less! And giving Matthews more than $12.5 means no Stanley Cup as well!

From what i hear about Andrew Peeke, the Leafs need to stay away from him altogether. He was in a sheltered roll with Columbus last year and still managed to end up last in plus minus. Absolutely horrible defenceman..
Tomas Hertl could be a good fit for the Bruins. The price will be high but, he's good and the sharks are rebuilding so maybe they collect some more good assets .

Bottom Line re: Leafs & Jets: I agree with other remarks in tonight's comments…TRADE any/all of the unsigned players before the season o/w you run risk of losing these players for ZIP or you run risk of injury and are then left with ZIP!! Trade Nylander, Hellebuyk, et al!!!!

TRADE MATHEWS. GET 4 1st rounders and a fill in player. Mathews is not Gretzky….he is very good, but not in playoffs. Trade Mathews, use the $ on Nylander and future assets.
