I think Karlsson is the worst fit possible. I watched over a dozens games last year and Pittsburgh's biggest issues were always related to defense. I see your point about all offense, but there Defense is so bad that they allowed 3-4 goals in two minutes multiple times. I love Sid, so it might be great to see him get a few extra points this year.
Pens need to pick up Tatar .
or not! Pens have 3 ! aging super stars…close to a $$$ 30 MILLIONs cap hit >>>its an all or nothing…….what happens if they miss the play offs or exit Round 1 ?? !!!
I was suprised he was able to get rid of those bad contracts in the deal.. should make the Pens fun to watch this season.. getting tickets for when they come to Ottawa for sure… its a great move for the Pens right now, but I dunno if this is the best move for Karlsson long term… the window in Pittsburgh is closing.. they have 1 or 2 shots here with an aging core before Crosby retires and then he's back in the same situation he was in San Jose
One thing not talked about is how other teams are going to counter this one two punch just like Sid and Geno up front
I'm a Pens homer, but the complimentary scoring hasn't been addressed in the bottom six, and the goaltending is still a question mark. And do we honestly expect the core to be as healthy as it was last year, which was the first time in how many years we had both Sid and Geno for almost the entire season? The transition game will be better, the power play will be better, but SC contenders? No. Especially not after that fade they experienced last year at the end when they should've been desperate, with the entire team one year older.
