  1. Just came up with this idea for gm5:

    Bunting Matthews Nylander
    Kerfoot Tavares Marner
    Knies O'Reilly Acciari
    Jarnkrok Kampf ZAR

    What u think?
Yes Auston and Willy are both shooters, but don't you think they're both mature enough by now to push their egos aside? I think both know what they're playing for. Will might have struggled defensively but i still think he's the guy, great playoff production over the past couple of years. I don't believe he's always bound for slow centers to make up for their lack of speed. That's not necessary, Tavares is smart enough to know where to move and when. Just brief the three guys on the first line, not to be impatient, brief them to work hard full time and not cheat. Then this lineup will be more than fine. It would be fun, I'm almost certain. Last change at home too…
You can always go back of it's not working…

  2. In my own (irrelevant) opinion: Bunting should sit the rest of the series, unless injury or a Tampa trouncing forces a roster change. His actions during game 1 were completely unacceptable, and scratching him for the remainder of the series serves as a clear message to him and the entire line up: Losing your temper in a playoff game will get you punished, no matter where you play in the line up.

  3. If Bunting plays, the Leafs will lose. Especially now… maybe next season you experiment some more, but not when you need 1 win after winning 3 without him… this is not rocket science…

  4. You don’t mess with a winning line up 3 in a row for the leafs…if bunting is put back in I think there’s a good chance Toronto loses the next 2, keep bunting in the press box

  5. When the leafs are down 4-1, instead of going for the comeback I think Bunting goes into pest mode and throws the game for the sake of getting at Tampa. I don’t think they need someone that loses themself to emotion just when guys like Mathews seem dialed in and focused on winning

  6. Bunting hasn't been in the lineup in a win yet. leave him out until theres not other option.

  7. You just won 3 in a row…. No. The answer is no. Hot take: You put him back in and I won’t be surprised if Tampa gets back in this series. You might end it tomorrow with him in the lineup, but I won’t die of shock if Tampa delivers us another game 7 LFR…. In this case, the toy isn’t the top 6 spot in my opinion, it’s the privilege to play in the lineup period. He sits until injuries dictate he is the next man up, and then he has a short leash. Even then, he might not have learned his lesson.

  8. Bunting wouldn’t make the team in Edmonton. Maybe in Bakersfield on standby.

  9. Adding Bunting now would require too many line adjustments. It isn't just one line being adjusted it's several

  10. we won all 3 games without him. why do we mess with the system before while we try to close out??? I'm ok with him coming back in but I think we should let the team that put a strangle hold on tampa try and finish it off

  11. Blippy made a weird video out of character (obviously) where he took a 💩on his friends head. True story.

  12. Imagine Boston healthy scratching Tyler bertuzzi. Leafs narrowly win two in a row and you sit one of your top scorers. How dumb is that. Players will get penalties, as nylander did the other night. But you ice your best lineup period. This just makes it seem like Keefe is being influenced by the media. Bunting scored 46 goals the last two years and you sit him in a series you’re desperately trying to win. Just plain dumb

  13. Amazing to see most of the comments got this one right and of course these 3 got it waaaaay wrong. Bunting stays out, if the job doesn't get done tomorrow you can make the change. Good to see Queef learned from the Montreal failure and didn't switch a winning lineup. 👌

  14. If Tamps gets under his skin so easily, what do we think Brad Marchand is going to do to him? Bunting might just be completely unviable as a playoff hockey player
