He's a decent tackle not elite. That's why the Chiefs didn't want to give him the money he wanted. He took less to go to the Bengals though. Joe will be pressured from time to time because the big man is not strong enough to handle the league's best. If he gets mad though he can get stronger.

Combine results don't really transfer into the NFL. Every year, we all see a player or two who's projected to be a day two or three selection pre-combine then to perform very well in some drills, or all, and instantly becomes a first rounder. GMs and owners are all suckers for speed (Al Davis). They completely ignore all the red flags (Al Davis) and draft a speedster such as John Ross, Darrius Heyward-Bay (7th overall), Jacoby Ford, Stanford Routt, DeMarcus VanDyke. The Jags drafted Troy Williamson 7th overall after running a 4.30. Most fast receivers can't run crisp, clean routes. Have trouble with separation when getting pressed, and so many other obvious red flags
The game is played in pads… some guys can only perform when wearing those pads… I’ll take those guys over a guy who runs fast in stretch pants, any day of the week!

The combine is very important. It’s difficult to hide injuries which is a huuuge part in evaluating talent/health.
