Don Sweeney met with the media Tuesday morning for his exit interview. He discussed the futures of Tuukka Rask, Taylor Hall and David Krejci. He also discussed how the Bruins plan to compete and improve the roster for next season.

Joking of course but seriously. Where sweeney failed this year and the past couple years has been developing defence! Yet he doubles down on this stance and lets chara go to make room for the young guys that didnt show. and that just backfires. Let him go and get a fresh head in there.
The fact this team had to use 13… THIRTEEN different defencemen to get through this season is absurd on so many levels – 8 defensive concussions. Only so many moves a GM can make. I thought he put together a solid team, but like Cassidy said in his interview, you need puck luck and overall health to win cups. Didn't fall in our favour this year. If anything, it shows how much depth the Bruins have. But they may need to sign a priest to keep this team healthy lol.
If I was Krejci I would be pissed. You wasted 3 years of his prime. Ohh we want to give the young guys time to grow. Bud you either can or can’t play. You wasted time!!! Just to give your scouting a chance. Take a good long look

This tone of his regarding Rask sounds a lot like the one with Chara last year. And, we know how that ended.
If I heard this guy say "We need to get bigger, tougher and meaner, I'd fall off whatever I was sitting on from shock.
Enough with the players of Sweeney's stature. This continues, we'd better expect more of the same playoff punt.
It’s ridiculous. Rask shouldn’t have played in game 6. Smith is not a second liner. Need bigger, tougher defence men and not ones that are always injured more often than not. Bruins have been losing in the playoffs because of size.

Another thing is that for some reason he’s always picking smaller players- I quess he still has to prove that small players are desirable. You know the exact opposite he heard his whole career
We’ve had 8 concussions on the backend this year. YES. Because when opposing forwards get over the blue line it’s a free for all. Not a single team is afraid to Run any one of the Bruins Dman Team is too small and too weak on the Backend. Donny and Cam. THAT’S on YOU.

maybe they should record this so they can just play it back every year. Scoring depth is an issue (check), defensive depth is an issue (check), we need to make some additions but we have a solid core (check). So, let's break down what management has to do:
1. Figure out how to draft properly…draft choices have been horrific…Jake Debrusk is the only player active on the team from the 2015 draft and he has been a ghost this year.
2. Develop front line depth that can move up. The bottom 2 lines have been a cob job for years and the 2nd line stunk until they acquired Hall. They have to figure out how to augment the lower lines beyond AHL players. The Islanders have 4 decent lines and that was a problem for the Bruins.
3. They need a couple of solid additional defensemen. With the injuries, they rolled out AHL players and that was a disaster.
4. Focus on goaltending youth. Tuukka has been undependable in the playoffs the past two years, he will be out for at least 1/2 the season, and he will be 35 years old. The team can use the money elsewhere. He did not earn his $14M over the past two years.
As they say, only a fool does the same thing over and over expecting different results.
Don you need to find a NEW GM one who knows how to DRAFT TALENT…
I was a fan of the Bruins, but I am starting to hate them. Every year it's the same damn shit. Their players must have been strung out on weed by saying that they had a very good chance at making a serious run for the Cup. But maybe it was their arrogance talking. You don't even have to know anything about hockey to know that a depleted defense full of weak runts and except for 1 line which scores 85% of their goals, can't score, a team like that,doesn't stand a chance. They need a Shawn Thornton and a Milan Lucigc
