Cherry thought this should be boarding XD. The man can't tolerate Europeans succeeding at the "NA way". Would that have been someone like Crosby laying a hit on someone from another continent, it would be "good Canadian kid playing the right way." I admit he can be amusing but his views on hockey are extraordinarily biased and at times outright ludicrous. This hit was just as clean as White's on Orpik today, and unfortunately both led to injury.
I don't always agree with Don Cherry, but that's textbook boarding – look it up.
