Curious if he will be able to make the final roster, but good for him for being able to get the try out.

Dude could have had a contract with the Wings now he’s on a PTO. Dude bet on himself and came up short.
Oh well.
With the retirements I’m guessing he probably gets a contract. Curious if he makes the team or goes to Providence.

He’s a good player, but he can get caught Chiasson the puck too much.

I think if I remember right the Wings wanted to get him on a two-way contract, and he wasn’t having it? I feel like a lot of PTO agreements end up as two-way contracts.
He did pretty good here, and I think if he was to sign a two-way with us he probably would have gotten some considerable time on the NHL roster. He was good net-front.

That’s a good landing for a good guy. He’ll get a chance to earn a roster spot there with all the turnover. He was solid at the end of the season for us and can still piss of goalies with his net-front presence.
