  1. So long as Jarry stays healthy, the answer is extremely simple: limit what your goaltender faces. Do you think, for even a moment, that the Pens in 2016 said, "Ah, this Matt Murray kid is future HoF, so let's not bother playing defense in front of him?" Of course not. They were like, "Sh-t, we need to help this kid out or we're f–ked," and played like it. Murray made some keys saves, no doubt, but the defense helped him out tremendously, clogging the slot and blocking shots. You've got TWO defensemen now that are excellent at zone exits and transitioning to the counterattack, so unless your name is Evgeni Malkin, there is no reason to not play a two-way game that limits opposing quality chances.
