DK: agree, Pens need a strong start, then need to maintain momentum. (This does not look like a power house that will be able to make a big push late in the season as injuries take their toll.)

The season is fast approaching. Haven't been this pumped for hockey season to start in a long time.
Hilarious to look at these first few weeks of games as ones they should win or can't afford to lose, like somehow the Penguins are that much better than any of these other 2022 non-playoff teams. Karlsson and some of these other additions help them, but in no way makes them a sure pick to win any of these games. The only way the Penguins stand a chance is if they also realize that. That's a tough bet.

I hope Crosby welcomes Bedard to the league by putting up a four point night to show the kid how it’s done.
The team got even older, but it also got a little tougher. It's not slow, but it won't be "fast twitch quick" either, so you need a neutral zone system and also to be amazing at "incidental interference" to slow down and frustrate other teams. Can Sullivan coach those things? Or will it be the broken record of "stay on the right side of the puck and win puck battles" which will have them burnt out, injured, and flipping Karlsson at the deadline for 2 first rounders? This roster needs to be a little devious, not just "try harder."
