  1. I'm going into this season with basically zero expectations other than seeing how our prospects adapt to the NHL

  2. after dropping 3 games in a row in the first round, the bruins lost their 2 best offensive centers, never to replace them. it should cost them dearly.
i predicted them to be out of the playoffs last year and i looked like a fool. They should end up in the wildcard race, but i don't think Ullmark will be beatable this year again.
the bruins should be playoffs bound in the 7th place.

  3. Their goaltending won’t be as godly as last season but will still be good. Their defense is still stout. Their offense has Pavel Zacha as 1C… so not gonna be very prolific. I still think they make a wild card spot.

  4. Every time you think Boston won't be good they end up overperforming, so as a Leafs fan I will absolutely not count the Bruins out this season. Everyone thought the Bruins were gonna regress last year and they didn't.

  5. I believe the Bruins will make the playoffs but they will have their share of losses. Trade deadline 2024 could be interesting. Go B’s

  6. The Bruins may have lost Krejei and Bergeron to retirement, I think the Boston Bruins are still a playoff team. I think the Bruins can do it.

  7. Lost depth and their current centers are way weaker than any postseason hopeful other than MIN. And we all see how MIN does in the postseason.

  8. This could be a significant drop for the Bruins. Not just because they had a legendary regular season but because they lost their top 2 centres. What’s worse is that those 2 centres didn’t just help the offense, which was great, they helped the goals against immensely. As great offensively as Pastrnak is, Bergeron and Krejci are still terrific and maybe the best top 2, 2 way centres in the game. Goaltending is going to need repeat numbers.

  9. Toronto, Tampa Bay, and Florida are on paper significantly better. They will be in the wildcard dog fight and have to really hope that the Sens, Wings, and Sabres don't finally get into the playoffs. Anywhere between 4th and 7th is realistic in that division.

  10. Thanks Shannon! Hope the Bs can at least stay tough and be fun to watch! 🐻❤️

  11. I think Boston will be okay, in spite of the losses on the team and the enhanced competition within the division. They should still make the playoffs, and maybe they can be this season's Florida Panthers, defying expectations. The goaltending alone, should keep them more than competitive.

  12. This team lost a lot. Scoring will be a struggle, but they have the defense and goaltending. 3rd in the Atlantic with 95-100 points.

  13. A miracle if they get a wild card spot. A damn shame after last year. Ah, well the rebuild/retool begins.

  14. They are definitely going to come back down to earth this year…BUT….They still have the pieces to stay in the top of their division. (or at least 2nd/3rd) Remember how everyone thought Boston was gonna be ho-hum going into the record breaking season they eventually had. In short, there is no crystal ball or fairy tales involved in hockey. Who picked our former bench boss to finally win a Stanley Cup in his first year away from the Bruins. It's all a guess and a wink!

  15. Im not high in the Bruins. I see them Battling for a Wildcard spot against the other 2-3 teams that could also make playoffs.

  16. I wonder how he would react if Boston were to have a 100 point drop off and finish dead last with only 35 points.

  17. I've said it before: we talk about Croaby and Ovi, but Bergeron was the third head of that monster. That three-year draft class was gold. Irreplaceable.
