Very happy to have Joey Venom back. Yzerman said specifically he wants Raymond and Veleno to turn it up this year so hopefully they’ve been hitting the weights and eating their chicken and rice lol
If you were a goalie would you feel better about winning a hockey game with a .22% save percentage or losing the game with a .99%?
So I saw this on the Oilers sub regarding Tyler Wright and his hit rate as director of scouting between Detroit and Edmonton, and uh…it ain’t great:
>My quick back of the envelope math: Between Detroit (6 drafts) and Edmonton (5 drafts), Tyler Wright oversaw the selection of 77 prospects over 11 draft classes. Three of them are currently impact NHLers. None of them are Oilers.
Just under a 4% hit rate. I know the draft is a crapshoot but still, that’s just atrocious.
