  1. Man. Hugh’s is a class act either he says great guy or I didn’t know him. He doesn’t destroy people. I could listen to his stories for hours

  2. I’ve watched a lot of these shoots, probably the first guy who didn’t have a bad thing to say about any body.
He seems grateful, which is a good quality to have.

  3. This guy liked everybody. How was it working with the devil? He was a good guy man, real good guy

  4. Mr Hughes is the kind of guy if you asked him about Chris Beniot he would say, "Great guy, great family man it's a shame he's no longer with us".

  5. Never understood why this guy wasn't a bigger deal in the WWF. He seemed to check a lot of the boxes of what Vince was looking for at the time: 6 ft 6, 330 pounds, good worker, charismatic, very intimidating presence. I think he's one of the more underrated 90s wrestlers. Back then he was one of the few WWF guys I was legitimately scared of. With how the guy looked and worked I think he could have made a great monster heel. I'm convinced if you could bring 1993 Curtis Hughes over to 2022 he'd be over as a heel almost instantly.

  6. Mr. Hughes is gonna be a playable character in RetroMania Wrestling, which is the spiritual sequel to the arcade classic WWF WrestleFest! Don't be fooled (or deterred) by the roster lineup in the game…The fact that it's mostly made up of jobbers and 2nd and 3rd tier wrestlers is part of the charm of the game. If you want to play as the Undertaker, John Cena or Macho Man Randy Savage, you can play any number of wrestling titles. RetroMania Wrestling is the only game that offers you the chance to pit Warhorse against the Blue Meanie; or what about a cage match featuring Austin Idol vs. Colt Cabana? Or throw Nikita Koloff and Matt Cobb in a tag team match against the Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal! You can do all that and more in RetroMania Wrestling!

  7. I met this man when i was 15 at Mrs. Branch's Vacation Bible school in Kansas City. So cool to sit and talk to him about wrestling as a kid.

  8. Really enjoyed this. Hughes likes everyone. That's the way it should be ,he had his time ,doesn't seem to have any jealousy. Great shoot interview.

  9. I bet you Mr. Hughes doesn't get many shoot interview offers. He seems like a sweet nice man and doesn't seem to have too many unkind words. Seems like he'd be a great guy to travel with in that world.

  10. After watching this particular interview I have a new love and respect for Mr. Hughes. OD on weed…..chill xD lol 😂

Thank you Curtis for frightening me as a kid lol

  11. it's so weird seeing this guy laughing and in a good mood. I've only ever seen him in character with that permanent scowl!

  12. I grew up watching Mr. Hughes when he was the bodyguard for The York Foundation, then Luger, before jumping ship. Curtis was so good at playing his character…to a kid you’d easily shit yourself if you saw him approaching you. Hard to believe the kind man beneath the mystique. Did you know he’s a Christian too? Met him once. Told him how he entertained me growing up. Mr. Hughes stood up, gave his famous menacing scowl, then hugged me and laughed before signing a glossy for me lol. Good to see Mr. Hughes didn’t die, go to jail, still in good spirits. A hell of a guy. Ty Mr. Hughes. Here’s a man who deserves a hof induction
