Hitting a baseball is probably the hardest thing in sport to do, one could say. However, try any sport on skates, and it inherently has to be more difficult than anything else. Hockey players for example, you’ll realize how tremendously athletic they are, and how skilled/technical they have to be at everything they do, even at a non-pro level. The learning curve of just skating, let alone the actual hockey side of it, is steep and difficult. I’m just guessing but like 90% of Americans can’t even ice skate at a basic level? So imagine. Can the average person (think a little bit better than Will Farrell spring training) get a cheeky squib hit once in a season? going 1 for 650 in a season? maybe. I’ll take those odds before I take the average person even being able to take a hard pass while skating or even skate with the puck itself. that would be truly comical to see Lol
