Go wings
Apparently, the key to building a championship team is to carry (no fewer than) 6, 3rd line centers 😆
Great pick
A defensively responsible center?
BAH GAWD THATS STEVE YZERMANS MUSIC
Another yzerman draft busts taking a 3rd liner in the top 10 😂
This might be a hot take since people also called him a reach, but I think Nate Danielson could potentially be even better than Kasper. I think he was super slept on because he wasn't on that strong of a team and regularly had to play against one of the best prospects since McDavid. For now since we've had more time with Kasper I'd say he's projected slightly higher, but I think Danielson has a higher potential ceiling.
Everyone expects Stevie Y to draft stars, no matter who he gets. I'm really curious how Stevie landed on taking two similar players in back to back drafts.
Kasper was a riser throughout the build up to the 2022 draft and was an obvious pick for the Wings. He had good numbers last season at Rogle as the team wasn't the best around him and that cameo appearance for Detroit WITH A BROKEN KNEECAP showed what sort of character this guy is. He's also very versatile and can play either wing as well as center which will stand him in good stead for the future. I don't see him making the roster from camp unless he beats out someone like veleno but he would be better served playing meaningful minutes in GR rather than 4th line in Detroit IMHO. He's going to be a good, reliable NHL player for Detroit for years to come.
another yzerman bust lol
this is the guy that drafted brett howden, slater koekkoek & brett connolly in the 1st round why am I surprised lol
He's got snarl, skill and we need him to hit. I believe in the Yzerplan.
