I would give my left leg and right arm to get William Nylander on our top line and Anders Lee in purgatory.
Rumour is leafs /isles talking willie n. to isles for jpg/d man deal. Give leafs soft pierre back in deal. And horvat should be second line. Bo is not a top liner unless a sniper is found to play with 13/14. Should be on second line. Maybe willie n. is that guy needed for 13/14 even tho i doubt willie n. wants to play for you know who once again. And bo wont duplicate last season since most of the over-production came in van. with petterson/hughes and canuck pp to boost him to career numbers.

The loss to the Canadians in 93 wasostly attributed to head hunter Hunter being a dirty player! He should have been kicked out of the league! Not only did he cost the isles that year, but Turgeon was never the same!!

I hope Lane spent a lot of time watching video and figuring out the best situation for each of the forwards to be successful. I'm tired of having a team full of intangibles and not enough scoring. I think Lane has the right idea, but he needs to figure out a balance in the 2-way game that produces goals and wins.

Hi Gil! Man this show was extra good! As you know, I write while I listen! To me—Bo and Barzie can add 12/15 points to each other easily. So yes, if healthy—he will produce well. If they both nail 80 points—we might just make it. If I were a leafs fan (the thought made me almost puke) I can’t go with the four core. No one will want soon to be fading pajama boy—however Louless May feel bringing him back would be great———no it’s Nylander that needs to go. They need a D man—-we all know who they would want throw in Pajeau and Whally——NO #1—— might work——-really not sure. What I do know is Lee and Bo can’t be on the first line. Please take care of yourself Gil. I did not know you were in the hospital——very grateful you’re back and the road to recovery!! 🙏🙏
This is NOT a team that will contend for more than the last 2 or 3 places to qualify for the playoffs. Ownership needs to clean house between players who are well past their prime, under achieving, etc. Instead, big contracts are given to players who would not start on much better teams
I think Dobsons best as an Offensive D man. With that, He's not going to be a Pelech type of player. Forcing him to play away from his strengths could damage his career. Having him score 50-60+ points a year is perfectly fine with me! That's why you don't play Romanov as his partner! He needs Pelech to be that Defensive rock while Dober plays his natural offensive threat game! We can't have a guy be a shutdown D man while scoring 50+ points a year! Those guys are extremely rare!
This is what I've been Saying for years now!!!! Finding that legitimate first-line goalscoring LW was THE MOST important position to address!!! Instead, We add bottom 6 guys, bottom pairing D men and depth players!!!! WTF?! Makes ZERO SENSE!
I also think it's unfair to Expect 70-80 pts from our first line because we don't have a LW! Anyone we have there will probably hurt that lines ability to score! Out of all positions (not including goaltending) Failing to make a goal scoring 1st line is Completely unacceptable and worthy of losing your job!
