Tampa lost in the first round this spring, but is that a blessing in disguise? They have had a full off season to heal up.

Thanks for doing this go lightning!
Great vid as always. Loved your Lightning hat from your Hagel resigning vid
Foolish is the fan who writes off the Lightning.
Wonder if they could convince Stamkos to go for a 1 year $1 million deal to give it "one last go"
Last season there was a lot of frustration. Stamkos chasing 500 goals derailed the entire team for almost a month of hockey, and for some reason they really struggled with 2nd period hockey. I imagine there were a lot more lessons learned and firmly believe so long as they can make the playoffs they can compete for anything. Expecting a slow start while they form chemistry and lines. Post-ASG break will tell the tale.
I got them finishing as the 1st wildcard in the east only to lose to New Jersey in the 1st round.
This team consistently loses players yet is competitive year after year. Says a lot about the organization. They may not be a cup favorite, but don't write them off. 2nd in the Atlantic with 102-107 points.
The Lightning is not the same lighting team in the last 3-4 years. I think the Lightning are either a 3rd placed team in the Atlantic Division or won't make the Playoffs entirety this season
Cooper has never won Jack Adams đ€š 2nd best winning percentage over 500 games (Scotty Bowman)
Honestly anyone who writes Tampa off completely are foolish, Tampa is still a playoff team theyâre still a top 3 in their divisionâŠIâm still lost how people say Boston is better than them or even people who say Buffalo or Ottawa are better than Tampa, they arenât lol. Tampa finishes 2nd in the Atlantic maybe 3rd but still solid playoff team
Hedman bounce back
Tampa personnaly is 5th with florida 4,Buffalo,3 sens2, tor
I predict Tampa finishes 4th in the division behind Toronto, Florida, and Buffalo. They'll be the 1st wild card team.
All Ex Tampa Bay Lightning team
JT Miller Carter Verhaeghe Jonathan Marchessault
Alex Killorn Blake Coleman Ross Colton
Yanni Gourde Tyler Johnson Barclay Goodrow
Blake Coleman Vlad Namestnikov Corey Perry
Ryan McDonagh Tony DeAngelo
Jan Rutta Kevin Shattenkirk
Luke Schenn David Savard
If they get good luck with health, they'll be fine for the playoffs again. They don't have the same depth however, so are more vulnerable than in previous years. Still a very good team.
Would like to see Kucherov have one year where he goes all out with shooting the puck. He passes 99% if the time, but you always wonder how effective he can be if he changed his game to be more aimed at scoring goals.
I think a finish in the top two.
Lightning has a system that produces players to fit the team even though they are not high draft picks, I expect someone from Syracuse to make the team and take the top 9 spot. I think next one could be MerelÀ, Goncalves or Groshev.
No doubt Tampa still has plenty of talent, but not nearly enough to cruise through the regular season and still have the ability to kick it into another gear in the playoffs. The Atlantic is competitive enough to make them work just to maintain their playoff spot. I see them at 4/5 and a WC team.
I could have commented this on pretty much any team's season preview in the Atlantic division, but I'll do it on this one. I think the division will be more even this year than it has been in the past few years. I don't see any team running away with the division as we have seen in the more recent seasons. A reasonable argument can be made for pretty much any team to get in to the playoffs. I expect a much more interesting end of the season this year.
We may not have the same depth as past years, but we are still very much a threat in the east. I can see us finishing second or third and posing a threat to toronto and florida.
Itâll be interesting to see if any of the aging stars take a discount on their next contract so Tampa can find and keep some younger talent.
Maroon will probably be back once he's put on waivers.
So who does JBB move during the season?
Def need a backup goalie. Love sheary and archibold but will be interesting with their smaller size on a team know to be big
I just hope the blue line gets better.
If cooper learned from this past season, this is the top team in the East. People just ignore how tough it is with short offseason, let alone 3 straight of them. And 2 of those all time short off seasons. And this team sounds downright angry at how they are being written off.
