Best way to tint visor is RIT dye, I did many of mine same method but with RIT. They have MANY colors and only takes minutes in the boiling water keep checking it every minute to get the right color. Also the dye ONLY takes on one side and that is the outside the inside wont take any color at all.

this would be useful making a accurate scp guard costume, get the lemonade kool aid and youll have a yellow visor for cheap.

You're damaging the structural integrity of the visor. It may crack or shatter
