The notable Eagles news that’s not too surprising considering how he’s played: The Eagles released CB Greedy Williams. 2019 second round pick, who Philadelphia signed in NFL Free Agency. He’ll get scooped up by a CB needy team, but he’s just not every good + Eagles very impressed with their young DBs. Mekhi Garner, Eli Ricks, Mario Goodrich, Josiah Scott and Kelee Ringo.

If anything they need to sign Matt Araiza to their practice squad after final cuts. They can see what he’s got on the practice squad. I understand it’s not ideal to keep a punter on the practice squad but if you have a generational talent at their position on the practice squad it shouldn’t be looked at as a wasted roster spot. If Devon Allen can get a designated practice squad spot at age 28 then so can Matt Araiza. He can also get time in as the teams emergency kicker if Jake Elliot goes down or needs some rest after attempting 5 or more field goals in a week, and Matt Araiza can also be used as the teams kickoff coordinator if he shows his leg to be stronger than Elliot. This way Elliot can focus more on his field goal accuracy during practice. I def want to see Araiza on the practice squad after final cuts.

Matt Araiza wasn't cleared of charges by a court of law… the prosecution didn't feel it had enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, so they didn't bring charges in criminal court. Araiza is still subject to a Civil lawsuit from the victim and the Eagles may not want to deal with that.

As an Eagles fan, Tanner McKee deserves to be the backup QB as the 2nd string QB behind Jalen Hurts as an rookie in 2023 this season, not Marcus Mariota. Marcus Mariota sucks and he's not very good as an backup QB on the Eagles when he threw an interception against the Browns and got sacked alot against the Ravens. Marcus Mariota doesn't deserve to make the roster on the Eagles. Marcus needs to go. Tanner McKee deserves the spot on the roster big time. Head Coach Nick Sirianni will make that call for sure and keep Ian Book as well as the 2nd backup QB. Who votes Tanner McKee as the backup QB to Jalen Hurts in 2023 this season? I would 100%. I was very impressed with his skills. He deserves to make the team on the roster full time but as the backup to Jalen Hurts in case Jalen Hurts does need rest or he gets hurt. Who's with me still on Tanner McKee as the backup QB to Jalen Hurts for the 2023 season? The Eagles will keep Tanner McKee anyway. Perfect fit and best Stanford QB ever to become our future to soon backup QB.
I thought with the Young DBs, its a toss up for picking for the standout guys on the Roster. I don't see How Josiah Scott beats out Mario Goodrich.
I also like to see Ringo be an impact guy like Jalen Mills.. Kelee Ringo and Sydney Brown are Sharp but Ringo not so much at a high level. Ringo can play a combination of Hybrid Safety and Corner but Josh Jobe is next up imo. I think Mekhi Garner and Josiah Scott are Practice squad and they Cut Kyron Johnson, Tyree Jackson and Ian Book.
